Youth Group Activities

Youth Group Activities

The Youth Group of CRT, CoRTY, provides social and informal education programming for grades 6-12. We have outings around Nassau County, to bowl, ice skate or go horseback riding.

On lounge nights, the kids play board games and Twister. We also have “shul-ins,” where the Youth Group leads the Friday evening Shabbat Service and then stays at the temple all night enjoying programs, movies, snacks and maybe some sleep.

The youth members provide input and planning with the help of a youth advisor and the Rabbi. Our youth group is a member of NFTY NAR, the regional arm of the North American Federation of Temple Youth, the Reform Movement’s Youth organization. They sponsor conclaves and events for the youth of Reform temples in NYC, Long Island and Westchester.
