Religious School is important to our Congregation, as our children can become educated, and carry on that knowledge in the future. Rabbi Judy Cohen-Rosenberg serves as the Principal, while congregant Bob Stein serves as the Educator/Administrator
Sunday School, known formally as the Marilyn H. Tahl Religious School, takes place from 10:00 am – Noon for Grades Kindergarten to 7. Curriculum covers Jewish history, culture, and holidays in age appropriate ways. Art, music, and Family classes are held periodically to enrich the Sunday School experiences. Classroom teachers are volunteers, and often have help from teens who have reached and surpassed Bar/Bat Mitzvah age.
Hebrew School takes place on Wednesdays from 4:10 pm – 6:10 pm, starting at Grade 3. Curriculum covers Hebrew language instruction: reading, conversation, and liturgy. Hebrew instruction is accomplished by a paid professional staff.
Grades 8-12 meet on Tuesday nights, and dinner is often provided. Grade 10 culminates in Confirmation. Past that, students meet once or twice a month until Graduation.
